UMH launches the Electronic office
Today, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) made the Electronic office available to citizens and members of the university community, and accessible at https://sede.umh.es. This site offers users the possibility of submitting certain documents from their home or any other location electronically 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It also provides other services, and standing out among these include initiating proceedings, consulting the status of records, downloading and verifying documents, assistance mechanisms, and technical support.
The Electronic office incorporates an initial catalog of procedures and electronic services, and these will progressively grow in order to ensure that any UMH procedure may be carried out electronically.
The UMH created the Electronic office within the process of adapting its administrative activities to the new regulatory framework established by Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, and Law 40/2015, of 1 October, on the Legal System of the Public Sector, which took effect October 2 of this year. This initiative was accompanied by the implementation of technological, regulatory, and organizational measures, which are also necessary for providing a significant boost to electronic administration at the university.
The Regulation of Electronic Administration, approved by the UMH Executive Board, along with the policy of electronic signatures and certificates in addition to the policy of managing electronic documents, forms the basis for furthering administrative activity that is entirely electronic.
By implementing the Electronic office, the UMH has established the conditions necessary so that its users may interact with it by electronic means with sufficient guarantees, within a safe environment, and one based on transparency.
