The UMH to offer elective courses in English next year in 10 undergraduate programs
Starting next year, 10 undergraduate programs at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) will offer elective courses in English. Specifically, the programs where these courses will be available include Journalism, Business Administration and Management (Elche and Orihuela), Labor Relations and Human Resources, Business Statistics, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Telecommunications Technology Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
UMH Vice Rector for International Relations, Manuel Jordán, indicated that “the plan to promote and recognize teaching in English has permitted the internationalization of our education and our students,” and he expressed his gratitude “for the effort by the faculty and centers involved.”
In addition to this offer, courses from various master’s are also given in English, and notable among them are programs that enable professional practice, such as the Master’s in Industrial Engineering and that of Telecommunications Engineering, given by the School of Engineering of Elche (EPSE). Likewise, the Master’s in Neuroscience: from Research to the Clinic has been taught entirely in English since it began.
With this plan to promote teaching in English, the UMH seeks to strengthen the international profile of its students and attract international students through a range of quality undergraduate and graduate education.
