The UMH stands out among the most productive Spanish universities, according to the ranking of the BBVA Foundation and the Ivie

The ISSUE (Synthetic Indicators Spanish University System) Ranking 2013, prepared by the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (Ivie), places the University Miguel Hernández (UMH) of Elche in 16th position according to productivity of the Spanish public universities studied. That is, the UMH is in the first third of the 48 Spanish campuses included in the ranking of productivity.

This ranking discusses two types of rankings built, according to volume, to results (ISSUE-V) and to productivity (ISSUE-P). In the latter, the Universities are ordered after correcting the effect size of the centers. The preparation of this document takes into account the three major missions of Spanish universities: teaching, research and innovation and technological development.

The rankings have been made from a set of variables that take into account three aspects: the different missions of universities, the existence of differences in the results of a university in the different areas of study and the importance of considering the user preferences of the university services when building some rankings.
