Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
16 March 2020
Following the measures adopted by the regional government in Valencia yesterday, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) will provisionally suspend classroom teaching activities next Monday, March 16, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID–19 disease. As an alternative measure, the UMH will teach classes from its official programs in an online manner starting at that time. What’s more, the university has prepared a contingency plan.
Beginning Monday, UMH faculty will broadcast their classes over virtual university platforms so that their students can continue learning from their homes. Furthermore, computer laboratories will be set up, with the proper measures of hygiene taken, so that students who do not have access to computers, laptops, mobile phones, or tablets, can continue to follow their classes.
These special measures will remain in effect until the health situation relative to Coronavirus COVID-19 allows for modifications to them or until said suspension can be ultimately lifted: https://comunicacion.umh.es/2020/03/03/recomendaciones-contra-el-coronavirus-covid-19/
